I particularly liked that it didn’t involve talking about upsetting experiences, but focussed on reducing their power so that I could get on with my life.I’m much more able to step back from my emotional responses and realise that I don’t have to buy into my negative thoughts. I’m much better able to evaluate what is going on in my head and identify when I’m going down paths that are unhelpful. I also now have tools to deal with these issues – previously I was often able to see when I was getting into a negative thought pattern but didn’t have the wherewithal to stop it.
